Just Jack - forthcoming gigs March-June 2012 in Bristol

Established 6 years ago, house music pioneers Just Jack have been instrumental in the rise and rise of the flourishing Bristol electronic music scene.

Based on the simple premise of throwing creative, evolving and off the wall parties, Just Jack maintain a dedication to their event production with incredible visuals, bespoke décor, mind blowing performance artists and first and foremost, quality music. Now considered the jewel in the West Country’s entertainment crown, the brand is bubbling further upwards to become one the most influential and well loved house nights in the country.

Last year Just Jack welcomed Nicolas Jaar aboard the Thekla for his Bristol debut, as well as claiming Crack Magazine’s party of the year tag for their Halloween event with Soul Clap. More recently they celebrated their 6th birthday with guests of honour including Maya Jane Coles, Joy Orbison and Leeds outfit Louche. Their forthcoming party on 2nd March sees them welcome Resident Advisor’s top rated and Just Jack supporter Seth Troxler along with Fabric’s own institution Craig Richards, Bristol’s own Appleblim, Al Tourettes, Cedric Maison and Just Jack Residents Tom Rio & Dan Wild.

Following this on the 28th April, Just Jack will be welcoming Maceo Plex, who went supersonic in 2011 as he rode the euphoric wave of the 2011 house revolution with his deep, dark and melancholy sound. He will be joined by Retrofit boss and Compost Black Label star Jay Shepheard, Hessle Audio backed producer Blawan with Just Jack residents plus a further four artists to be announced.

This year Just Jack are making the leap into 2012’s essential event calendar. Outside of their regular warehouse parties held at the nationally acclaimed Motion warehouse space in Bristol, the brand will be picking up their sticks this summer and spreading their care free party attitude and attention to musical excellence further afield. From Hideout Festival in Croatia to fellow innovators Secret Garden Party onto Bristol’s festival debut Love Saves The Day, Farr Festival in Hertfordshire plus more dates which will be revealed in the coming weeks, the 2012 summer season looks set to be quite a year for the Bristol stalwarts.

Just Jack are formed of the artistic and musical talents of Rag, promoter behind In:Motion and Love Saves The Day festival, Robin Shaw former head of media at the Future Disco team catapulting their radio arm to 28 stations and out to around half a million listeners per year. Jethro Binns previously a professional squash player who found his new sport to be house music and signed a transfer to Just Jack, and residents Tom Rio and Dan Wild who meticulously sculpt the music policy that gives the brand its defining edge. As well as operating monthly parties at Motion, the last six years have seen Just Jack work alongside a collection of electronic music’s major players including Circo Loco, Cocoon, Bristol In:Motion, BacktoBasics, BuggedOut!, We Love..., Rebel Rave, Trouble Vision,  Beatport and Futureboogie.

The team have big plans on the horizon, set to launch the Just Jack weekly radio show to be broadcast in over 15 countries as well as a shiny new website. With a history of throwing unmissable parties with brilliant line-ups and a feast of visual wonder and delight, Just Jack are on course to bring the best of Bristol out to play.
